About Peak Partners
Peak Partners was founded in 2019 because its owners, Alex and Sara, saw a need in the region for expertise in helping both new and established businesses flourish. As entrepreneurs themselves, Alex and Sara understand the excitement, pressure, and logistics of growing a successful company. The team at Peak Partners serves several dozen businesses—and manages the billing accounts for thousands of clients. Peak Partners continues to grow because of the strong relationships they develop with business owners and their commitment to the success of every single client.
SARA MAGELKY
CEO/Owner—RDN, LRD
Sara has significant experience in the retail, medical, real estate, and food service industries. She has several years of experience in credentialing and the enrollment process. Sara has worked in hospitals and long-term care settings leading a team of individuals striving for excellent customer service, as well as being a medical provider. Sara is an expert in local, state, and federal compliance issues; and loves helping new business owners grow their businesses.
Sara graduated with a Bachelor of Science from North Dakota State University and is a Registered Dietitian. Sara loves to spend time with her husband, children, family, and friends. She enjoys scrapbooking, cooking, baking, and watching football. Go Vikings!
ALEX MAGELKY
CFO/Owner—MBA
Alex has extensive experience in management, organizational leadership, and financial analysis. Alex has several years of experience in credentialing and medical billing gaining a wealth of knowledge. In his previous work in the food service, medical, and real estate industries, he developed business plans and financial forecasts, created operational efficiencies, and led successful and motivated teams.
Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Mary. Alex enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and watching and playing various sports. Go Twins and Cowboys!
JACOB KINZLER
Accountant-MAcc
Jacob is from Fargo, ND, and graduated with a Master of Accountancy degree and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from North Dakota State University. Jacob brings extensive knowledge of accounting practices learning throughout his time at NDSU, as well as his internship with Eide Bailey. Jacob has been with Peak Partners for over 5 years in which he has assisted and guided our business's financial condition, as well as offer his expertise to our clients. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, weightlifting, and spending time with his family.
ISAAC KINZLER
System Administrator
Isaac is from Fargo, ND and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from North Dakota State University. Isaac started with Peak Partners as a Medical Billing Specialist over 5 years ago and recently transition into his new role as System Administrator, despite having a hearing loss and speech disorder. His hobbies include playing the viola, video games, fishing, and chopping wood.
LAURA HAUCK
Medical Billing Specialist
Laura is from Goroka, Papua New Guinea, and also grew up in Neola, Iowa, and Bird City, Kansas. Laura has been with Peak Partners 4 years as a Medical Billing Specialist. She has 15 years of experience in medical records, 10 years in administrative roles, and 8 years in medical billing. Laura enjoys reading, watching movies, and learning new things daily, often watching the History Channel.
DIANE E.
Medical Billing Specialist - CPC
Diane is a Certified Medical Coder and Biller with seven years of experience. Diane has been with Peak Partners for 2 years. She enjoys listening to her two preschool-aged grandsons. Diane's hobbies include reading, cooking, and pondering how to have a life that requires fewer passwords.
Mary KInzler
Office Assistant
Mary was born and raised in Callaway, MN, where she grew up on her family farm. She competed in 4H competitions with her horses, as well as FFA competitions. She graduated with an Associate's Degree in Horticulture and Floral Design from Brainerd Community College. Mary and her husband owned and operated a greenhouse for 20 years, where they were able to share their love of gardening. Prior to starting with Peak Partners, Mary worked at the Fargo Public Schools for 12 years. In between work and spending time with her husband, kids, and grandkids, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and outside lawn work.
Theresa Kargbo
Account Representative
Theresa was born in Sierra Leone, west part of Africa and came to the US when she was 13 years old and have lived in Fargo ever since. Theresa is married to her husband of 9 years and has 2 lovely kids. She has a Bachelor's degree in Health Service Administration from Minnesota State University of Moorhead. Theresa has over 7 years of experience in Administration, including customer service support, scheduling, registration, leadership, building providers schedules, and assisting provider to obtain their NPI. When Theresa is not at Peak Partners, she also works with patients who are under Hospice Care. Theresa enjoys cooking, watching movies, and spending time with family.
Karen Mahler
Medical Billing Specialist
Karen grew up in a small town in southeastern ND - Fairmount, and spending most of her adult life in the Fargo/Moorhead area. Karen has 2 children and 2 grandchildren and is an identical twin. Karen has an Associates of Science from ND State College of Science and also attended NDSU. Karen has extensive knowledge in medical billing with over 30 years of experience. She also owned her own medical billing business for 25 years. Karen enjoys music, dancing, walking, biking, sewing, crafts, and reading.
Robin Simon
Account Representative
Robin was born in Edinburgh, Texas and moved to Fargo when she was 9 years old. Robin has worked in healthcare for the past 15 years. Robin enjoys all types of arts & crafts with her son, DIY projects, concerts, adventures with her family, trying out new recipes, and enjoying some self-care. Robin's dream destination is to take a family trip to the Maldives and stay in an overwater bungalow.
Kaia Christl
Administrative Assistant
Kaia grew up in Olivia, MN and moved to Fargo when she was 12 years old. Kaia graduated from North Dakota State College of Science with an A.A.S. degree in Business Management. Kaia has worked 16 years for the Child Support Program and 7 years for Municipal Court in Fargo assisting administrators, attorneys and judges. She also specializes in enforcing court ordered medical support to children of ND and served 6 years on the ND Family Support Council. Kaia loves spending time with her 2 daughters and grandson, who will start kindergarten in the fall.
